Ocean Bay, in partnership Savanah River National Laboratory and Old Dominion University, was selected by the Defense Logistics Agency to developed a non-destructive testing methodology to detect counterfiet, unapproved material submission or substandard processed raw material. This work was completed as part of the Small Business Administration’s Small Business Technology Transfer program. Organizations implementing this new tecnology as part of their inspection process will realize rapid, cost effectivedetection and indentification of substandard material prior to acceptance or use. Using the physics of nondestructive testing mythodologies, Ocean Bay conceptually designed a new inspection device, capable of field inspections for product compliance.
