A History of Bennett Aerospace
2008
Bennett Aerospace was founded to focus on advanced technology development leveraging the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) at both NASA and the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). The company successfully won more Phase 1 SBIR awards in its first operating year than any other single North Carolina-based company had ever won. These were followed by a higher-than-average conversion rate to Phase 2 and Phase 3 awards. The company was recognized as a Top 25 North Carolina “Company to Watch” by the Center for Entrepreneurial Development.

2023
In early 2023, Bennett Aerospace was acquired by a successful and tenured Alaska Native Corporation—Three Saints Bay, LLC. This acquisition has enabled Bennett Aerospace to focus on its employees, customers, and services. Due to the organizational structure of an Alaska Native Corporation holding company, Three Saints Bay manages the shared resources of General & Administrative staff (including Accounting, Contracts, Communications, Human Resources, Recruiting, and IT). Today, with hundreds of employees across the U.S., Bennett Aerospace continues to thrive by remaining nimble and prioritizing its employees. Bennett Aerospace is honored to humbly serve the intelligence, science and technology, engineering and research, and law enforcement communities. It remains committed to safeguarding this nation for future generations of Americans and making the world a better place.
